We’re looking for a driven and collaborative SIMPLIFY! Manager (Continuous Improvements) to join our Regional Ops NI team and lead the next phase of our continuous improvement journey at the New Plymouth site.
This role is central to embedding lean manufacturing principles across our operations and supporting the continued integration of SIMPLIFY! The purpose of this position is to provide knowledge and expertise of lean manufacturing principles to assist the company to meet its objectives and to lead the planning, direction, and coordination of SIMPLIFY! manufacturing techniques according to the National Roll Out to the LNI Region.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify areas for continuous improvement, streamline workflows, and implement solutions that drive measurable results. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in process improvement methodologies and a proven track record of successfully leading transformational projects.
A day in the life of the role
In this role, you will:
- Lead the implementation of SIMPLIFY! in line with the national plan.
- Support SIMPLIFY! projects across the business.
- Provide frontline leaders with training, coaching, and expertise to embed SIMPLIFY! principles.
- Communicate best practice and progress to management.
- Develop and maintain SIMPLIFY! training materials and maturity model tracking.
- Work with training teams to build capability at both management and operator levels.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends in process optimization.
What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for someone who has:
- A relevant tertiary qualification (Business Management, Process Engineering, Quality desirable).
- At least 5 years’ experience in FMCG or manufacturing leadership.
- Proven experience with Lean or similar continuous improvement philosophies.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with tools such as process mapping and root cause analysis.
- Excellent communication and coaching capability.
- Strong computer skills, including advanced Excel.
- A self‑motivated approach with high ownership and accountability.
